This unique educational setting caters to the students aged of 11 -16 years who have Mental Health needs, behaviour needs and are at-risk youth. These pupils have been failed by mainstream school settings but this alternative provision aims to use Sports, PE and Football to engage and encourgae students to progress in their education and focus on their future paths! With excellent links to community sports teams and a creative leadership team, this is a fantastic place to join if you are a PE Teacher looking for a new challenge or a Secondary Teacher with a passion for sports and a know-how for dealing with pupils who are disengaged with school.
The Role - Alternative Provision - Barking and Dagenham borough
This tight knit school are looking for an Teacher to start on a full time and long term contract in September. You must be a fully qualified teacher that holds QTS or QTLS or OTT and has experience teaching in an alternative provision or Secondary school. You will be required to plan for and teach small groups. The teaching will follow the UK Curriculum and you will be mainly teaching core subjects - Engish, Maths and Science and Sports coaching.
The role requires a creative Teacher to make learning engaging for pupils with complex issues and someone who is empathetic, able to build rapport and build confidence in these young people.
