About Us:
Our welcoming, vibrant and supportive school located in the Borough of Barking & Dagenham is looking for a Year 1 LSA for an ASAP start. They pride themselves on creating an environment which is purposeful, engaging and inclusive. The Deputy Headteacher is now looking for an ambitious Year 1 LSA. You must be experienced with RWI phonics and ideally the school are looking for someone who would like to train to become a teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the classroom teacher in supporting SEN pupils.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Delivering phonics sessions
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience working within a KS1 classroom
- Knowledge: Understanding of RWI phonics
- Desirable: Experience working with children in a school setting.
