Our client is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Senior Education, Health & Care Officer to join their vibrant team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and guide an area team, ensuring that every child receives the support they deserve!
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Provide line management and case supervision to EHC Coordinators, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth.
- Complex Case Guidance: Offer specific advice on complex cases, drawing from your expertise to navigate challenges effectively.
- Timely Reviews: Work closely with EHC Coordinators to guarantee that EHCP Annual Reviews are conducted within statutory time frames, ensuring every child's needs are met promptly.
- Needs Assessments: Collaborate with EHC Coordinators to ensure that EHC needs assessments are completed accurately and within statutory timescales, maintaining a focus on quality and compliance.
- Quality Assurance: Review and quality assure draught EHC Plans, ensuring they are of the highest standard and legally compliant with the Children and Families Act 2014, Education Act 1996, Equality Act 2010, SEND Regulations 2014, Care Act 2014, and Children Act 1989.
What We're Looking For:
Experience: A background in education, health, or social care, with substantial experience in managing complex cases and leading a team.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of relevant legislation and the ability to apply it effectively in practise.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with children, families, and colleagues.
Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational abilities, with a knack for prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
