Smart Teachers are looking for a 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream school in Barking to start as soon as possible
About the roleA primary school in Barking is seeking to an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a student with Autism
This role involves assisting the pupil throughout the school day (no personal care required).
Key requirements for the role include:
- Previous experience working with children with autism
- The ability to work independently with the pupil
- Skilled in identifying and addressing the pupil’s individual needs throughout the day
- A strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team with other staff members
3 form entry mainstream school in Barking, rated "Good".
On site parking and located close to tube stations
Leadership provide support for all members of staff.
RequirementsTo be considered for the role of 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant - Barking you will:
- DBS on Update Service or willingness to undertake one
- Have experience working with SEN
- Work Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:00
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN
