My wonderful school are seeking an Art Teacher to join their outstanding team, supporting pupils across Key Stages 2, 3, and 4 in a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school. About the RoleAs an Art Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and creative art lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles.
- Integrate literacy into the art curriculum by encouraging students to explore and express their ideas through written reflections, project descriptions, and art critiques.
- Create a safe, consistent, and nurturing learning environment where students feel confident to explore their creativity.
- Build authentic relationships with students, understanding their unique challenges and strengths.
- Encourage students to develop their artistic voice while improving their reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Work closely with a skilled and supportive team to adapt strategies and approaches.
- Foster resilience, confidence, and a sense of achievement in every student through creative expression.
- A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience or a strong interest in teaching Art.
- A passion for both art and literacy, with the ability to embed reading and writing into creative projects.
- A commitment to consistency and authenticity in your teaching style.
