Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead and oversee mechanical installations on a high-end residential project. This role involves managing daily on-site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities of a Mechanical Project Manager:

  • Reviewing drawings and coordinating material distribution.
  • Communicating effectively with site labour.
  • Enforcing health and safety policies and method statements.
  • Managing material schedules and orders.
  • Maintaining a site diary to record and report issues.
  • Monitoring site progress and guiding operatives.
  • Coordinating with main contractors on access and material deliveries.
  • Ensuring high standards of quality and safety on site.
  • Preparing construction programmes and managing resourcing issues.
  • Attending site meetings and managing risks.
  • Ensuring all work complies with specifications and is properly documented.

Requirements of a Mechanical Project Manager:

  • Relevant qualifications in Project Management, such as APM PMQ or other recognized certification.
  • Extensive experience in mechanical systems, specifically heating systems, including design, installation, and maintenance
  • In-depth knowledge of heating systems, HVAC, and related mechanical systems. Familiarity with safety and quality standards for mechanical installations.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects from concept to completion, managing budgets, schedules, and resources.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Ability to anticipate, manage, and resolve issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • CSCS card.
  • HNC is preferred
