Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to cover multiple sites across London with a focus on mechanical installations.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years' experience working with commercial plant rooms and strong expertise in plate heat exchangers.
The role involves installation, servicing, and repairs of various equipment including pumps, motors, boilers, and ventilation systems.
The salary for this position ranges from £45,000 to £50,000 depending on experience, with additional benefits including overtime pay and a company vehicle.
Candidates should possess relevant mechanical engineering qualifications, a full UK driving license, and be prepared to participate in a call-out rota.

Our client, a specialist in the delivery of M&E building services across London and the Home Counties, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to cover multiple sites across London.

The ideal candidate will have experience in installation, servicing, and repairs, with strong expertise in plate heat exchangers. This role will primarily focus on mechanical installations, with additional support for service and PPM between projects.

The Mobile Mechanical Engineer will work across a range of equipment, including pumps, motors, boilers, and ventilation systems, ensuring efficient operation and maintenance.

Mechanical Engineer Position Overview

Working on all major mechanical equipment within plant rooms
Primary role includes installation, with additional support for the service manager on remedial works
Essential requirement: Strong knowledge of plate heat exchangers

Mechanical Engineer Position Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience working with commercial plant rooms
Strong expertise in plate heat exchangers
Proficient in installation and servicing
Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications - City & Guilds & NVQ
Full UK Driving license

Mechanical Engineer Position Remuneration

£45,000 - £50,000 DOE
Overtime rates - 1.5x & 2x
Travel pay after 45 minutes each way
Company vehicle (private use included) + fuel card
25 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 25 after 1 year of service)
Call-out rota: 1 in 9, with £150 standby payment
PPE, uniform, and mobile provided
40-hour workweek (Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, including a 1-hour break)
