BD Reside is looking for a dedicated Compliance Manager to lead our compliance efforts across our growing property portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on delivering safe, well-managed homes.

Who We Are

BD Reside is committed to providing affordable, high-quality homes for the residents of Barking and Dagenham. As our portfolio grows, we are looking for a Compliance Manager to take ownership of statutory obligations, ensure regulatory compliance, and help maintain a safe environment for all our residents.

The Role

As Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all statutory and regulatory duties are met on time and within budget. You will manage the compliance service across key areas such as gas safety, asbestos, fire safety, and more. You will also ensure data management systems and processes are in place to track performance and provide assurance.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Compliance oversight: Leading the compliance schedule for all properties and ensuring full regulatory compliance.
  • Contract management: Managing statutory compliance contracts and ensuring high performance from contractors.
  • Audit and reporting: Conducting compliance audits, preparing reports, and implementing improvement actions.
  • Customer focus: Ensuring resident engagement and effectively managing complaints.
  • Financial oversight: Working closely with the finance team to monitor budgets, forecast, and control spending.
Key Deliverables
  • Manage core compliance services, ensuring all statutory responsibilities are met.
  • Produce regular assurance reports for senior management.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with KPIs.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and implement improvements.
  • Manage budget expenditure and provide financial reports.
What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with:

  • A proven track record in managing statutory compliance contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and a willingness to challenge unsafe practices.
  • Experience managing risk and performance in property management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to work with contractors and suppliers.
  • Experience in budget management, financial control, and reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage a varied workload.

Desirable: NEBOSH/IOSH qualification or relevant membership (e.g. IOSH, RICS, CIOB, IFSM).
