We are seeking a KS1 Primary Teacher for a reputable 3-form entry primary school in Barking and Dagenham. Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and Deliver Engaging Lessons: Create dynamic, age-appropriate lessons in line with the national curriculum, using a variety of teaching strategies to engage all students.
  • Classroom Management: Establish a safe, orderly, and inclusive classroom environment, promoting positive behavior and mutual respect.
  • Assess and Track Student Progress: Monitor and assess students' development through tests, observations, and feedback, maintaining accurate records of their achievements.
  • Support Individual Learning Needs: Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with varying abilities, including those with special educational needs (SEN), and collaborate with support staff to provide individualized attention.
  • Communicate with Parents and Guardians: Keep parents informed about their child's progress, behavior, and achievements through regular updates and parent-teacher meetings.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other teachers, teaching assistants, and specialists to share best practices and resources, ensuring a cohesive educational experience for students.
  • Foster a Positive Learning Environment: Encourage creativity, curiosity, and teamwork, creating an engaging and supportive atmosphere that nurtures children's confidence and motivation.
  • Handle Administrative Tasks: Prepare lesson materials, mark student work, and manage paperwork related to lesson plans and student records.
