We are current recruiting for an experienced police investigator to support the UK largest police force.

The role of a Civilian Disclosure Investigator will be to support the OIC’s on cases within Economic Crime that are particularly complex in scheduling, redacting and organising disclosure. The role will be office hours Monday – Friday. The candidates should have a great deal of experience in managing complex disclosure, be well organised and comfortable in handling complex cases involving intricate data.

Key Responsibilities:

Progress established criminal investigations including:

  • Taking written statements from victims and witnesses of crime.
  • Assisting in the preparation of suspect interviews.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies.
  • Assisting in the gathering of evidence by reviewing and collating documentary evidence relating to the investigation, including third party material.
  • Completing applications for examinations of digital media and forensic submissions.
  • To assist officers in the preparation of casefiles to include disclosure schedules
  • Preparing and presenting evidence for court proceedings in Magistrates and Crown Court. 

Skills/Experience

An investigative background, to include experience of compiling files (preferably of an investigative nature) including disclosure schedules, and previous experience in dealing with people (in particular, victims and witnesses).

  • Professionalising Investigation Programme (PIP 2) accredited - desirable
  • Experience reviewing digital downloads
  • Proven ability to work in partnership with other agencies, forces and business groups
  • Experience in managing complex disclosure
  • Experience with multi-faceted, complex and large investigations
  • Ability to work with little supervision

This role is based in Barking.

These are temporary roles, working on a full-time basis for an initial 12 months.

The role has an initial pay rate of £20.08 per hour PAYE or £25.51 per hour Umbrella.
