About the Specifications Technologist job
The purpose of your role will be to take responsibility for managing product specifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and coordinating with internal teams to maintain quality standards. They will also collaborate with suppliers, conduct product testing, and oversee documentation processes.
Key tasks
- Create, review, and maintain accurate product specifications, ensuring compliance with food regulations, customer requirements, and industry standards.
- Manage raw ingredient specifications, liaise with suppliers, and perform final label sign-offs for new products.
- Collaborate with product development, quality control, and production teams to gather data and resolve specification issues.
- Regularly update specifications and assist in developing packaging materials to meet legal and customer expectations.
About You
- Experience of online retailer specification portals.
- Proven artwork experience (nutritional , ingredient declarations etc).
- Strong communication skills for dealing with suppliers and customers.
- Mandarin/Chinese speaking is desirable (not essential).
- A food related degree ideally or equivalent qualification - desirable (not essential).
