Our client is seeking a passionate and skilled Strategic Lead for their Recruitment and Resourcing team within the Human Resources and Organisational Development sector. This interim position plays a pivotal role in shaping a recruitment strategy that reflects their commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

The individual will spearhead the recruitment team, overseeing enhancements in the recruitment process following a comprehensive review and implementation of a new system. They will provide expert-level guidance and support, aiming to elevate the council's recruitment standards while promoting an inclusive culture.

  • Lead and manage the recruitment team, ensuring the effective execution of resourcing programmes and alignment with the council's strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement innovative and inclusive approaches to attract diverse talent, embodying the ethos of an exemplary employer.
  • Provide specialised HR advice on complex recruitment matters including legislative compliance, equity, and best practises.
  • Oversee recruitment for executive roles and develop strategies to source hard-to-fill positions, engaging with executive search firms and alternative avenues.
  • Act as the principal advisor on recruitment markets, salary bench-marking, and workforce planning, providing reports to senior boards and service networks.
  • Possess a degree and/or professional qualification in a relevant field, along with substantial HR experience that includes recruitment management.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR practises, especially in talent acquisition and employee progression.
  • Proven ability to manage and inspire teams while fostering collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills to present findings, strategies, and internal audits clearly and effectively.
  • Experience in shaping services in large, complex organisations and delivering structural and cultural changes within those environments.
