Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated Art Teacher to join our dynamic and creative department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring art lessons to students across [Specify Key Stages, e.g., Key Stages 3-5]. They will be expected to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment where students can develop their artistic skills, knowledge, and appreciation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective art lessons that meet the needs of all students, including those with SEND.
- Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity, experimentation, and risk-taking.
- Develop and assess student work effectively, providing constructive feedback to support student progress.
- Prepare students for [List relevant exams, e.g., GCSE Art and Design, A Level Art and Design].
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attendance.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities, open evenings, and school events.
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and colleagues.
- Promote and support the school's values and ethos.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience of teaching Art to [Specify Key Stages, e.g., secondary school] students.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for art education.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
