We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Teacher to join a specialist school in Barking & Dagenham, supporting students aged 5-16 with SEMH and additional learning needs. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a nurturing and dynamic environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.

The Role:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support students' academic and emotional development.
  • Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment tailored to individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure holistic student progress.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to foster resilience and independence.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods accordingly.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs (desirable but not essential).
  • A creative and flexible approach to teaching, with strong behaviour management skills.
  • A commitment to student well-being and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • A proactive and team-oriented mindset, with a passion for inclusive education.
