The Opportunity:Are you an experienced HLTA looking for a new opportunity in a vibrant school environment? Long Term Futures is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic HLTA to join a welcoming junior school in Barking and Dagenham. This role involves working across multiple year groups to provide high-quality support and lead lessons as required, contributing to the overall success and development of the school community.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • HLTA status or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in a HLTA role, ideally in primary or secondary schools.
  • A strong understanding of the curriculum and strategies to support effective learning.
  • Confidence in leading whole-class teaching and small group interventions.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to work collaboratively with staff and pupils.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to working in a dynamic school setting.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading lessons across various year groups in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Providing targeted support to small groups and individual students to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers and senior staff.
  • Contributing to the wider school community by supporting events, activities, and initiatives.
