Referral and Assessment Team

We are looking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker within the Referral and Assessment service in the Social work Industry. Our client Barking & Dagenham has a well-structured and organised team that are looking to grow their staffing levels.
The role offers flexible working hours for working parents and has a supportive team culture with regular supervision on cases. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and supportive team.
Main duties include:
- Initial Assessments and Core Assessments
- Section 47 Investigations
- Contributing to the duty rota
- Initiating care proceedings
- Working in a multi-agency capacity to support families and children
- Initial child protection reports conference reports
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification (degree or diploma).
- Registered with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g., Social Work England).
- Proven experience in a social work role, (preferably within Referral and Assessment but this is not essential)
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social work practice.
