Social Worker Specialist: Children CAMHS (Band 7)

Join our dynamic Children CAMHS team in Barking & Dagenham as a Social Worker Specialist and make a real difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritise and manage the day-to-day workload, ensuring LAC cases are handled effectively.
  • Provide clinical advice, support, and guidance to the team regarding the treatment and care of LAC.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of LAC children and their support networks to address mental health needs.
  • Deliver brief interventions and guidance to children, families, and carers.
  • Ensure timely assessments and adherence to local and national LAC targets.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records, care plans, and risk assessments.
  • Identify and escalate safeguarding issues promptly to protect children and families.
  • Work collaboratively with NELFT teams, local authorities, and other providers to ensure holistic care.
  • Support team development, foster integrated health and social care working, and participate in audits and staff appraisals.
