About You:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and patient SEN Teaching Assistant who:

· Has experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated learning needs.

· Is confident in supporting students with communication challenges, sensory needs, and behaviour management.

· Can build positive relationships with students, helping them feel secure and engaged in learning.

· Works well as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.

· Has a proactive and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students in a specialist setting.

Your Responsibilities:

· Support students in developing independence and life skills alongside academic learning.

· Implement alternative communication methods such as PECS and Makaton to support non-verbal students.

· Assist in sensory regulation activities to help students manage their emotions and behaviours.

· Encourage social interaction and engagement through structured play and group activities.

· Provide a safe, calm, and nurturing environment where students feel supported in their development.
