SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have experience working in a secondary school setting?

A fantastic secondary school near Barking and Dagenham is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately.

The Role:

  • Supporting students with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Assisting teachers in delivering tailored lessons and interventions.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour and engagement.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN (preferred but not essential).
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting young people.
  • A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
