An Ofsted outstanding, independent school for students with special educational needs in Barking and Dagenham are looking for an experienced SEND Class Teacher to join their school in April to teach within their key stage 2 provision.  

The Role

In this SEND Class Teacher role you will teaching in a mixed age class of 6 pupils based in Key stage 2. Students in the class have and EHCP for complex needs and have not been able to cope in a mainstream school setting. Students are taught a curriculum designed to meet their learning and all-round development needs. You will be supported by a team of experienced professionals and support assistants across the school to deliver highly personalised teaching and learning, therapy programmes and interventions. You will have support from senior leadership and access to regular CPD training to support you to develop your practice with complex learners.

The school are looking for a SEND Class Teacher with the following:

  • Experience of teaching students with complex needs, autism, Adhd, behavioural needs
  • Key stage 2 curriculum, planning and assessment knowledge
  • The ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
  • Confident working in of a large inter-disciplinary team
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • The ability to commit to a full-time position from April to July 2025

This role is offered on a full-time contract basis from April to July 2025.
