About the Role

We are looking for an organised, proactive, and motivated individual to join our Maintenance Operations Stores team. Based at our Barlborough warehouse, you'll play a vital part in supporting the operational team through effective parts and stock management, supplier liaison, and warehouse coordination.

This role is central to ensuring our field service engineers and operational teams have the tools and equipment they need - on time, every time - so that customer service excellence is consistently delivered.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage stock control and parts processing, ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained.

  • Communicate effectively with team leaders, managers, and other departments to maintain high service standards.

  • Liaise directly with external suppliers, arranging deliveries, returns, and repairs.

  • Plan and maintain spares availability using system reports and contractual information.

  • Organise and monitor shipments to and from repair centres.

  • Manage van collections and courier arrangements.

  • Support operational improvement initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

  • Ensure health & safety procedures are followed, escalating issues when necessary.

  • Proactively resolve local team issues and help maintain strong team morale.

  • Respond promptly to internal requests and queries.

  • Attend relevant training courses as required.

  • Assist management in overseeing operational efficiency and improvement metrics.



Skills & Experience Required

Essential:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a logical, solutions-based mindset.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - both written and verbal.

  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently or under supervision.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to work and change.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.

  • Solid experience with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Commercially aware with good decision-making skills.

  • Confident working with operational systems and using data to identify efficiencies.

Desirable:

  • Forklift Truck (FLT) experience
