Thorn Baker are working in partnership with a multinational manufacturing organisation, based in Barlborough, supporting their search for an experienced and highly organised Logistics Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Pro-actively ensure logistics and material requirements are processed and followed up until the delivery - resolving any issues in the process
  • Executing optimisation program in transport routes to provide cost savings to the business
  • Managing and driving the relationship and performance of logistics partners including deliverance of service level KPI's
  • Responsible for all transport and external warehousing requirements
  • Support in planning key production materials 
  • Supporting stock management and discrepancy investigations
  • Communicating with customer service and production both on site and at other locations across the UK 
  • Pro-actively communicate with internal and external stake holders to anticipate service issues
  • Provide analysis for the correct management flow of inbound and outbound goods 
  • Provide support in the management and planning of shipments

 

About You: 

  • Experience using SAP is advantageous
  • Minimum level 3 CIPS qualification (or working towards) 
  • Strong Microsoft office skills - particularly excel 
  • Excellent communication in verbal, written and face to face 
  • High standards and a strong understanding of delivering great customer service 
  • Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure

 

The Hours: 

Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 5:00pm (4pm finish on a Friday)
