Our client a Structural, Civil and Geoenvironmental company based in North Wales are looking for Principal Environmental Consultant to work from their office with hybrid working options. Principal Environmental Consultant Job Overview
  • Tasked with permit applications, modifications, and ensuring full compliance with environmental regulations
  • Communicate with clients to understand their permitting needs.
  • Prepare and submit detailed environmental permit applications to UK regulators.
  • Manage permit applications through to approval and issue.
  • Collaborate with client teams to enhance management systems and reporting.
  • Coordinate preparation and delivery of specialist reports.
  • Audit existing permits to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee inspections and tests required for permit compliance.
  • Address non-compliance issues with corrective actions.
  • Create documents and reports to support permitting processes.
  • Work with professionals to develop specialist reports and applications.
Principal Environmental Consultant Job Requirements
  • Degree within a Scientific / Environmental related discipline
  • Hold (or close to) professional membership of a recognised institution e.g. CIWM, CEnv
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulation, its development and implementation
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years working experience
  • Experience working within the waste management and recycling sector.
  • Previous experience of working within the environmental permitting sector generally.
  • Full UK driving licence and use of a car
  • WAMITAB/COTC qualifications would be advantageous
