Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team at Lartington Hall our exclusive use 5* Wedding venue. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and preparation. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food safety guidelines are strictly followed, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and portioning.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in meal preparation.
