Contracts Manager to join a well-established company based in Middleton in Teesdale, County Durham

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.

Location: Barnard Castle, Co Durham.

Salary: Competitive Salary Depending on Experience

About the Company

Established for over 40 years. The family business is spilt into three departments:

  • The Merchants - Selling various goods to farmers, builders and DIY enthusiasts.
  • Steel Fabrication - Manufacturing and installing a huge range of products from mild steel. Gates & Railings, tend to be their specialist area, but they do manufacture a range of bespoke products.
  • Contract Fencing - Supplying and installing all types of fencing.

About the Role

Due to the ongoing growth of the company, they have a vacancy for a full time Contracts manager, working within their Fencing department.

They are looking for someone who can manage the site installations, where the role would include, but not be limited to:

  • Initial site visits - Gaining measures or information of the forth coming project to be relayed back to our estimators.
  • Working with the customer to ensure that the correct products are applied to the project.
  • Ordering and programming of materials.
  • Organising and programming of operatives and plant.
  • Daily management of the particular project.
  • Liaising with the customer regarding the programming of the works.
  • Working with our quantity surveyors to ensure that they receive all relevant site information as the project moves forward.
  • Producing of RAMS.

Due to the location of sites, the candidate could be based from home (but is not a requirement), and travel either directly to the sites or their depot as and when required.

Experience: Management: 2 years (preferred)

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Licence/Certification: UK drivers licence (preferred)
