We are seeking a dedicated Cover Tutor to deliver Functional Skills in English and Maths, as well as covering some vocational subjects such as basic construction. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and looking to make a significant impact on student learning.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Functional Skills – English & Maths, IT & Digital Skill & Construction skills (P&D, Joinery)
- Cover additional vocational subjects, integrating Functional Skills into the curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials that meet the educational needs of diverse learners.
- Assess and record students' progress, providing feedback to help them improve.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and participation.
- Experience in teaching Functional Skills – English & Maths, IT & Digital Skill & Construction skills (P&D, Joinery)
- Ability to cover vocational subjects, with a preference for candidates with experience in basic construction.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A teaching qualification is preferred but not essential.
