We are currently recruiting a Chef de Partie to work on a permanent basis in an established fine dining kitchen based in the Enfield area. The right candidate will actively promote the company's values, and will have operational responsibility for planning, preparing and delivering an efficient and good quality meal service.

You will be working shifts 5 out of 7 days per week, totalling 45 hours per week. Live-in accommodation is available, which includes meals and utility bills.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook and serve all items on the menu to a high standard, whilst minimising food waste.
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
  • Remain updated with any changes to operations, including seasonal menu changes.
  • Run the kitchen service in absence of Kitchen Management, as and when required.
  • Manage food costs to remain within a budget.
  • Take personal responsibility for ensuring that you are fully trained within your role, including all health and safety requirements.
  • Ensure proper stock availability, including placing orders for kitchen supplies when required, and helping with deliveries and stock counting, labelling, and rotation.
  • Ensure hygiene compliance, keeping the kitchen clean and tidy at all times, and maintaining food in correct temperatures.

The successful candidate should have a requirement of:

  • Previous experience working as a Chef de Partie.
  • Have an up to date Level 2 Food Safety and Allergen Training.
  • Able to multi-task and work effectively under pressure, remaining calm in high stress situations. Well organised, with the ability to carry out tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Creative, with a precise eye for detail and a desire for excellence.
  • Reliable and trustworthy, with good timekeeping.
  • High standards of cleanliness.
  • Good communication skills in spoken English, and basic level of written English
  • Good interpersonal skills, with excellent teamwork and customer care.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and motivational, with a can-do-attitude.
  • Able to work on your own, following instructions effectively.
