IT Service Desk Manager - Barnet - MSP - £45k-£60k DOE

Due to continued growth, a well-established Microsoft Gold Partner based near Barnet/Southgate are looking for an IT Service Desk Manager, with great knowledge of ITIL practices and an MSP background to lead their technical team.
This tight-knit MSP have been trading for over 15 years supporting SMEs across the South of England as well as an overseas presence, who take pride in their training and development opportunities and their stellar client retention rate.
Responsibilities include:
- Actively monitor managed queues to ensure timely ticket allocation and resolution.
- Take responsibility for the professional growth and performance of direct reports, with regular 1-1s for team members.
- Oversee service queues for direct reports to ensure targets are achieved, and offer support when required.
- Maintain adherence to SLA response times.
- Ensure engineers consistently update customers via the service desk platform or phone.
- Accountability to ensuring service improvements from the support desk, conducting regular internal meetings and managing new service projects
- Implementing ITIL Methodology including, Incident Management, Major Incident Management, Problem Management & Change Management
To succeed in this role, a Service Desk Manager should have:
- Previous experience leading a service within an IT Managed Services capacity at a management level
- IT Service Management: ITIL Framework and knowledge of ITSM tools
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An ability to make decisive, informed decisions.
- A strong technical background of the Microsoft product suite i.e. Office 365 and Windows Client Operating Systems
