Are you an experienced, passionate KS1 Teacher looking for a new role? If so, we want to hear from you.

Teach Plus are currently working with a mainstream primary school in Barnet who are seeking an experienced KS1 Teacher to work with Year 1 or Year 2. This school wants to make sure children and staff have special and happy memories and have positive relationships between children, parents, staff, and neighbouring communities. November 2022 was the recent Ofsted inspection and continues to be a good school. They really focus on staff and student's mental health; staff are supported in their career to achieve their full potential.

As a KS1 Teacher you will be expected to work as a part time teacher on Thursday's and Fridays in a Year 1 or 2 class. You will need to develop effective professional relationships with staff and pupils. KS1 Teacher will also be expected to collaborate and work with colleagues and other relevant professionals within the school, to ensure pupils are getting the best support that they deserve. KS1 Teachers will be expected to develop, implement, and evaluate the schools polices, practice, and procedures and work with others on the curriculum for pupil development to secure coordinated outcomes.

As a KS1 Teacher you will be required to:

  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes, following the school's plans and curriculum.
  • Asses, monitor, record and report on learning needs, progress, and achievements of assigned pupils.
  • Make a positive contribution to the school's values.
  • Direct and supervise and provide support to support staff assigned to them and, where appropriate, other teachers.
  • Take part in school's appraisals.
  • Maintain good order and discipline among pupils, managing behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment.

The ideal candidate for a KS1 Teacher will have:

  • Experienced teaching within KS1 1 year 1 or 2
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Right to work within the UK
  • Overseas criminal clearance
