I am currently working with a fact paced, outstanding North London based secondary school who are looking to appoint an aspiring English teacher to work as a teaching assistant. The successful applicant will be working with students of various abilities with a focus on supporting students with Literacy work.
This would be a great positon for an English graduate who is considering a career in teaching and would like to use the teaching assistant role as a way to gain invaluable hands on experience.
The school are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant with SEN knowledge and some form of paid or voluntary experience with young people. You may have gained your experience through a number of different avenues.
As an English teaching assistant, you will be working with students ranging from KS3-KS4 with a focus on Literacy support. You will be working with pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
During the year, you will work with slightly challenging behaviour at times and be confident holding 1:1 interventions when required.
