Essential: School Experience or High Academics (Degree level or higher)

We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who can work alongside class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils. Passionate about?promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion, the successful candidate will encourage and give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement.?

An inclusive, compassionate Barnet Primary School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to:

  • Support the teacher in the classroom and in preparation for lessons

  • Support children in their educational and social development

  • Provide extra support for pupils with special educational needs or disabilities

  • Provide extra support for pupils with English as an additional language

The successful candidate will have:?

  • A relevant Teaching Assistant or childcare qualification NVQ level 3????

  • Experience of working in a primary school???

  • Experience of working with SEN?and ASD children

  • Open-mindedness, patience and compassion

  • A commitment to equal opportunities.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all school matters.

  • High levels of self-confidence.

  • Ability to relate well to other professionals.
