Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs? LTF Recruitment seeks a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to assist a Year 5 student with ASD, OCD, and Tourette's, who requires support outside the classroom setting. This role involves fostering a supportive environment to enhance the student's educational experience and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised 1:1 support to the student, ensuring safety and emotional comfort.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies effectively.
- Foster inclusivity and a positive learning atmosphere.
- Assist the student in developing social skills and managing emotional regulation.
- Collaborate closely with school staff and professionals to monitor progress and provide feedback.
- Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the student's unique needs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with ASD, OCD, and Tourette's.
- Understanding of strategies to support students with emotional and behavioural challenges.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and external support teams.
- Relevant qualifications in education or special needs (desirable).
