POSITION: Year 1 Teaching Assistant

SCHOOL: Consistently '’GOOD graded Barnet Primary School

LOCATION: Barnet

TRANSPORT: Northern and Jubilee line - National Rail links

CANDIDATE: Confident, creative with knowledge of KS1

QUALIFICATIONS: 1st Class or 2:1 Degree (English related degree preferred)

START DATE: ASAP Start until July 2025, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm

PAY: £95 + per day

Clarus Education are working with a fantastic Primary School in the London borough of Barnet. A position has opened up for a Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team.

The successful candidate will support the class teacher with the development and education of pupils in Year 1 through 1:1 interventions, small group activities and general classroom support.

There are mild Special Educational Needs within this setting, so any professional or personal experience with SEN would be advantageous for this role.

The ideal candidate for this Year 1 Teaching Assistant position will have the following:

  • Strong academic background - educated to a degree level from a reputable University

  • Experience working with children - ideally in a school setting

  • Professional or personal experience with SEN

  • Ideal for those who are compassionate, confident and calm

  • You must be able to commit to the entire academic year, until July 2025
