Behaviour Mentor | Barnet, EN5 | 95-110 | Long-Term to Permanent | Immediate Start

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and challenging behaviours? LTF Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive and inclusive SEN school. This role is crucial in helping students overcome behavioural barriers and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups with students displaying challenging behaviours, helping them develop positive strategies for learning.
  • Implement tailored behaviour interventions in line with individual Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to create consistent approaches to behaviour management.
  • Provide daily behaviour and emotional support to ensure students can access the curriculum and feel safe in their learning environment.
  • Set clear, measurable behaviour targets for students and track progress over time.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role supporting children with SEN and behavioural difficulties.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and a patient, empathetic approach.
  • The ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
