We are delighted to be working exclusively with Noah's Ark Children's Hospice to resource a key leadership Director of Finance role.

The Hospice are dedicated to helping children who are seriously unwell make the most of every day. We are seeking an exceptional Finance Director to lead their Finance strategy, working with the Board to safeguard their finance future and support further growth.

About the Role:

As the Director of Finance, you will play a key role within our Senior Leadership Team. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the financial health of the organisation while supporting operational and strategic decisions. This is a unique opportunity to drive our mission forward, especially as we expand our services and maintain our outstanding care standards.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Safeguard the charity's financial position, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations.
    • Develop insightful management information for the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, and Board of Trustees.
    • Oversee financial planning and analysis, including monthly management accounts and budget tracking.
    • Collaborate with fundraising teams to prepare bids and manage donor reporting.
    • Lead and mentor a finance team of three, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
    • Implement new IT systems to enhance financial operations and reporting.
    • Engage with healthcare systems to expand our service offerings and revenue streams.

What You Will Bring:

    • A qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, etc.) background.
    • Strong planning and organisational skills, with a hands-on approach to work.
    • A commercial focus and strong analytical abilities.
    • High personal integrity and a commitment to supporting our charitable objectives.
    • Excellent communication skills, particularly with non-financial stakeholders
    • Knowledge of the charity sector and compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Understanding of health and social care structures, including NHS commissioning.
    • Previous hospice experience is a plus.
