Veritas Education work with a variety of primary, secondary, and SEN schools across London and the surrounding areas, providing high-quality teachers and support staff for long-term, short-term, permanent, and daily supply roles. We partner with state, private, and independent schools, building strong, trusted relationships with our clients.

We are currently working with secondary schools in North London that require experiencedScience Technicians for roles beginning asap.

You will possess a degree in a science subject and ideally have previous experience working as a Science Technician/lab assistant, as well as having experience in an education setting - for example as a teaching assistant.

As a Science Technician as well as looking after lab equipment, setting up materials, and carrying out safety checks, you will also:

  • Be dedicated to helping students achieve their attainment levels
  • Encourage students to engage proactively with their learning
  • Be responsible in helping to provide a safe environment for students to learn.
  • assist the teacher in the students their learning and development as well as with behaviour management, consistently promoting positive behaviour.

To be considered for this role of Science Technician you must hold a degree in a science subject and have relevant lab-based experience.

Ideally you will already have some experience of working with young people, or you may be considering furthering your career in education as a teacher. Maybe you are taking a year out before doing your Masters or a PGCE.
