Assistant IT Network Manager

Our client, a large mixed secondary school based in Barnet is looking for an Assistant IT Network Manager. This person will provide 2nd and 3rd Line Technical Support, manage, and maintain networks, and take a lead with Support Technicians.

There are also large-scale projects in which this person will be very involved across 2024 and beyond, thanks to £20,000,000 of investments. Project examples: Cisco Networks to Ubiquiti migration and rollout, New CCTV rollout, and WIFI Migration to name just a few.

Job Activities
* Assist in creating and maintaining various software and records for the purpose of managing the network including audits and cross charging sheets
* Manage the request for change documents procedure and carry out the tasks based on priorities agreed with the Network Manager
* Create, and administer accounts in Active Directory, AD Azure
* Manage the network switches, VLANs, Wi Fi, backups (Veeam) through the development of group policy and scripting
* Manage and maintain the server Hyper-V infrastructure
* Ensure DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Exchange and Group policy are working efficiently.
* Administer and maintain Classroom Management software
* Administer and maintain Safety Management software
* Install hardware and software on all Servers, and PCs
