We are seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable, and highly skilled PPA Teacher to join a dynamic team at mainstream primary school based in the heart of Barnet. As a PPA Teacher, you will be responsible for covering the planning, preparation, and assessment time for classroom teachers, ensuring that high-quality teaching and learning continue in their absence. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work across multiple year groups within the primary phase, with flexibility and variety each day.

As a PPA Teacher you will be required to:

  • Deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, following the school's curriculum and ensuring consistency in learning outcomes.
  • Ensure that all students are supported according to their individual needs, including SEN support where necessary.
  • Provide clear and effective assessments of student progress, tracking their development and providing feedback to the class teachers.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love of learning.
  • Collaborate with the wider teaching team to ensure seamless transitions between lessons and share resources and strategies for effective learning.
  • Manage the classroom effectively, ensuring all school policies, including safeguarding, are adhered to.

The ideal candidate for a PPA Teacher will have:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS) with experience in primary education.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to teach across various year groups.
  • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to engage students and manage behaviour effectively.
  • Passionate about providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Able to quickly form positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A commitment to the ethos and values of the school, ensuring a high standard of teaching and learning.
