We are currently working with a 2-from entry primary school based in Barent who are lookig for a pool of Familiar Faces to book in during support staff absences.

The school are eager to ensure that their familiar faces are part of the team and will be offering specifc training and upskilling to all familiar faces. 

Familiar Face Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Use structured teaching methods, visual aids, and other autism-specific strategies to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Foster positive and supportive learning environment that encourages independence, social interaction, and emotional well-being.
  • Complete child-specifc handover notes at the end of the day 
  • Assist with personal care and mobility needs as required, ensuring the dignity and well-being of each student.

SEND Learning Support Assistant Non-Negotiables:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND in a school or similar setting.
  • Must have worked within a school setting in the past 2 years 
  • A strong understanding of SEND-specific teaching strategies and approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the development and well-being of students with autism.
