Finance Assistant

Finance Assistant - Barnet - Restaurant Group - up to £40k + Bonus / Full Time OR Part Time (pro rata 30 hours pw) / Flexible Hours - Office Based.Our client operates a very successful multi site restaurant group with sites right across the UK.We are seeking a versatile and experienced Finance Assistant to support our clients in-house Financial Controller and coordinate a small number of internal IT queries with the external IT service provider.Main Duties and Responsibilities-Finance Support• Assist the Financial Controller with daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.• Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts as required.• Assist with payroll processing and liaise with HR on payroll-related matters as needed.• Assist in liaising with external parties for the outsourced financial functions and support month-end and year-end closing processes.• Deal with basic financial queries and requests from the affiliated restaurants.RequirementsEssential-• Proven experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role, with relevant accounting qualifications (e.g. AAT, ACCA part-qualified, or similar).• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.• Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both financial and ITprofessionals.• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.• Familiarity with accounting software (Sage 50 or 200 preferable) and IT service management tools.• Knowledge of data protection regulations and best usage practices in IT security.• Experience working in the multi-site hospitality, restaurant or retail industry.Desirable-• Familiarity with cloud-based financial and IT solutions.We are inviting applications from those who are currently working in a hospitality sector business - ideally multi site.
