The Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join our Humanities faculty. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced RE teacher or an ECT (Early Career Teacher) who is passionate about their subject and committed to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. The successful candidate will deliver a well-rounded, high-quality curriculum that engages and challenges our students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach at Key Stage 5.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality RE lessons that inspire students and promote understanding, empathy, and respect.
  • Develop engaging and challenging resources and materials, tailored to the needs of diverse student groups.
  • Monitor, assess, and provide constructive feedback to support student progress and attainment.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative school culture that values learning, growth, and respect.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Humanities department to enhance curriculum development and teaching practices.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching and learning.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Qualifications: A degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related field and a recognized teaching qualification (QTS).
  • Experience: Teaching experience in a secondary school setting is preferred; however, ECTs are welcome to apply.
  • Skills: Excellent classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
