About the role:

Elwood Recruitment are recruiting for Support Workers in Barnet. You will work in Respite Services which provide 24 hour care and support to adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.

The service gives families and carers a chance to take a break from their caring responsibilities overnight or for several days.

As part of the care and support team you will assist in maintaining a safe and enabling environment that provides positive experiences to those using the service.

Successful applicants will be:

  • Doing arts and crafts
  • Cooking
  • Support regular weekend trips out and about around London
  • Music, sing along or disco’s
  • Gardening
  • Using the sensory room

Typical Shift Schedules / Patterns:

On offer we have flexible shift patterns to suit your lifestyle, giving you full control of when you would like to work. Candidates can expect to be offered a mixture of earlies, lates, long days and waking nights on a weekly basis.

Shift times include:

  • 07.00-15.00
  • 15.00-22.00
  • 07.00-22.00
  • 21.45-07.45

Essential Experience:

  • Care & Support Work: 6 Months in the UK
