Randstad are recruiting for a Lead Practitioner to join London Borough of Barent council

This is a permanent full time position with a salary £45,000 - £50,000

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The mentoring and supervision to staff within the team ensuring professional standards and best practice.Ensuring that the responsibility of safeguarding adults at risk is a fundamental element of this job and that the principles are embedded in all procedures, practices, professional advice, decisions and support. Working alongside and when required deputising for the team manager to prompt an environment of a supportive team enabling them and yourself to work with individuals to promote and support independence choice and control with wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.Conducting individual complex assessments and safeguarding enquiries to establish clear, relevant, proportionate, and appropriate options for the individual to meet their identified outcomes. Working in partnership with adults, their families, carers and advocates, colleagues, external organisations to provide appropriate, professional social work support for vulnerable older people, adults with physical and sensory impairment or learning disability and carers.

The minimum requirements for this role are:Must have a minimum of 2 years UK experience working in adult social care as a social workerMust have experience of supervising or mentoring social worker staffMust have experience of complex case work
