Learning Support Assistant - Full Time

SANZA Teaching Agency is proud to be exclusively recruiting for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a highly regarded independent school in Barnet. This is a full-time opportunity to provide one-to-one support for a bright and capable Year 5 pupil with high-functioning ASC.

This pupil is mature, engaging, and has a fantastic sense of humour. She thrives with encouragement and benefits from support in staying focused during lessons. Your role will involve building her confidence, gently guiding her attention, and fostering her independence within the classroom setting.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be available to start this term and commit to supporting the pupil through to the next academic year, ensuring a smooth and consistent transition into Year 6
  • Have experience supporting children with ASC or similar needs
  • Be patient, encouraging, and able to build a positive rapport
  • Offer gentle guidance to keep the pupil engaged and motivated
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and highly supportive parents to create a positive learning experience
  • Promote independence while providing reassurance when needed

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-resourced, inclusive, and supportive school environment, ensuring the pupil has a successful and confident Year 6 experience.

Location: Independent School, Golders Green, Barnet

Hours: Full time 8.30 - 4pm
