Milk Education is looking to hire a SEND Support Assistant to work in one of our partner primary schools based in Barent. The role is on a long-term basis starting as soon as possible!
This is a school, that prides itself on having a supportive SLT, who care about children's and staff's well-being. The school also offer regular training sessions for staff, ensuring that they are consistently upskilled.
SEND Support Assistant Role & Responsibilities:
- Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students
- Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
- Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
- Deliver catch-up sessions
SEND Support Assistant Non-negotiables:
- Must have 1 year of experience working within a school environment
- Previous experience supporting individuals with SEND
- Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
- Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
