SEN Teaching Assistant | Barnet, EN5 | £90-£105 | Long-Term to Permanent | Sept 2024

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with behavioural needs? LTF Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join an SEN School in Northeast Barnet. This is a unique opportunity to work 1:1 with students of varied ages and abilities, supporting their social, emotional, and educational development throughout the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to children with behavioural needs, ensuring their safety, engagement, and well-being.
  • Implement EHCPs and adapt learning activities to meet their specific behavioural and educational needs.
  • Assist in developing social skills and promoting positive behaviour through consistent and patient guidance.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to monitor progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
  • Create a nurturing and structured learning environment that fosters the students' growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with older children with behavioural challenges is essential.
  • Relevant qualifications in Special Education Needs (SEN) or related fields are desirable.
  • Strong understanding of behavioural needs and effective strategies for managing dysregulation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
