SEN Teaching Assistant | Secondary School | East Finchley, N2 | £95 - £110 per day | ASAP Start | Long-Term Opportunity

Long Term Futures is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in East Finchley, N2, seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in January. This role is ideal for experienced TAs or graduates with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
  • Use visual aids, sensory resources, and strategies to support learning and engagement.
  • Help students stay focused, manage their emotions, and develop independence.
  • Monitor progress and liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to provide regular updates.
  • Support students during extracurricular activities and interventions.

About You:

  • Experience working with secondary-aged students with SEN or a relevant degree (e.g., Psychology, Education, or related fields).
  • A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to supporting learners.
  • Confidence in managing behaviour and encouraging positive social interactions.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for helping young people achieve their full potential.
