A welcoming and supportive secondary school in Barnet is looking to appoint a reliable and caring Welfare / Student Services Assistant to join their team from April 22nd, 2025 on a long-term, full-time basis.

This role plays a vital part in ensuring the wellbeing and daily support of students, including managing minor medical needs, assisting with pastoral care, and providing administrative support to the wider team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first aid and welfare support to students throughout the school day.

  • Monitor and manage the medical and attendance records in line with school policy.

  • Be the first point of contact for unwell or injured students, parents, and staff.

  • Support the pastoral and safeguarding team with daily administrative tasks.

  • Assist in maintaining a calm, safe, and supportive school environment.

Requirements:
  • First Aid Qualification - essential

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Friendly, calm, and professional manner

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

  • School admin experience is desirable, but not essential
