Looking for a Dedicated SEN Tutor with Makaton Experience!
Are you an experienced SEN tutor with a passion for supporting learners?
We're looking for a compassionate and skilled tutor to work with a student for 10 hours a week, providing support in Maths and English. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Makaton and have a deep understanding of SEN needs to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support in Maths and English for a student with SEN.
- Adapt lessons to meet individual learning styles and needs.
- Use Makaton to support communication and enhance the learning experience.
- Develop engaging, accessible resources that promote independence and confidence.
- Maintain regular progress reports and communicate with parents or caregivers as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or adults with SEN.
- Proficiency in Makaton.
- Strong background in Maths and English.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships.
- Flexible and creative approach to tutoring.
