Experienced Dyslexia Tutor!

We are looking for a dedicated Dyslexia Tutor to provide tailored, one-on-one support for our child.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience with Dyslexia: We need a tutor with proven experience in working with children with dyslexia, using specialised techniques and strategies to help them succeed.
  • Tailored Teaching Methods: We are looking for someone who can create a personalised learning plan that addresses our child's unique strengths and challenges.
  • Patience and Encouragement: It's important that the tutor is patient, understanding, and able to foster a supportive environment where our child feels encouraged to learn and improve.
  • Focus on Literacy Skills: We would like to focus on improving reading, writing, and spelling skills, using multi-sensory teaching methods and other effective dyslexia strategies.
  • Flexible and Engaging Sessions: We're looking for someone who can adapt to our child's learning pace, making lessons engaging and fun while ensuring real progress.

This tutor role involves:

  • planning lessons and resources around the student's needs. This could be in the core subjects or life skills;
  • plan and deliver engaging sessions.
  • apply skills to raise pupils' confidence.
  • manage children with challenging behaviour.
  • track the learning progress of the student to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide monthly reports.
  • potentially engage in outdoor activities such as learning about plants and nature with the student,
  • learn about visuals to communicate in some cases.
